In March, the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that Israeli forces torture roughly 95% of the Palestinian political prisoners they detain.
Israeli mistreatment of Palestinian detainees includes children, who are routinely abused to coerce confessions.
These violations occur inside a network of prisons and detention centers equipped by the British/Danish company G4S, the world’s largest security firm and second-biggest private employer.
In August, the Palestinian prisoners’ movement called for an escalation in boycotts of G4S.
As detentions of Palestinians spike amid a wave of repression intended to crush a popular uprising against 67 years of ethnic cleansing and occupation, demand G4S end its complicity in Israel’s crimes.
