Please come and join us in commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day in Palestine. This is when Israeli police forces killed and injured over 100 Palestinians, who were protesting Israel’s policies of land expropriation. This important day in Palestinian history came to be known as Land Day or [Yom El Ard] in Arabic. Palestinians commemorate it to demonstrate their commitment to the right and ownership of their land.
Our round-table discussion will be centered around the history of Land Day, Settler Colonialism in Palestine, and how popular resistance movements were mobilized and organized to demonstrate against Israeli methods of land grab and theft.
