The Philadelphia Don’t Orchestrate Apartheid campaign invites you to heed the call from Palestinians in Gaza to join in an international day of protest and solidarity this Friday, June 8th.

June 8th will mark the anniversary of Israeli forces violent seizure of Jerusalem. Philadelphia has made international headlines for its demonstrations in recent weeks, both in commemoration of the Nakba and in its ongoing campaign to challenge the Philadelphia Orchestra’s Apartheid Tour in Israel. Let’s send a message to the world that we are only just getting started! Join us at Thomas Paine Plaza at 5PM on FRIDAY JUNE 8th to keep up the pressure on the occupation forces in Israel and their supporters in Philly.

“We urge all free people everywhere to join the Palestinians by organizing solidarity events to demand that their governments exert pressure on Israel to end its oppression and occupation of the Palestinian people.”

Statement from the Legal Committee of the National Commission for the Return and Breaking-the-Siege Marches

The PDOA coalition is specifically reaching out to all nurses, paramedics, and other medical workers to stand in solidarity with 21 year old Razan al-Najjar, who was assassinated by an Israeli sniper last Friday. This blatant and horrific attack on a live-saving first responder cannot be tolerated! To honor Razan’s memory and to stand up for medical workers in Gaza and around the world, please come out on Friday! Wear your scrubs, wear your uniform, and show us the strength and compassion that lives in all medical workers.
