We will never forget the Sabra and Shatila Massacres!

Program:
7 pm to 8 pm – Communal Dining with Palestinian food, introduction to the Sabra and Shatila massacres
8 pm – Procession around Norrebro, with Sabra and Shatila banner in the lead and torches. We will distribute flyers in the streets, cafes and restaurants and call for the boycott of Israel so long as Israeli occupation, colonization and apartheid continues.

In September 1982, Lebanese Phalangists, in cooperation with the Israeli military, carried out a brutal massacre at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in Beirut, Lebanon. Over 1200 Palestinians were murdered. The goal was to expel the Palestinians and their freedom fighters from Lebanon. Israeli Defense Minister Ariel Sharon was the architect behind the massacre. He was henceforth called the Butcher of Sabra and Shatila. But despite the Sabra and Shatila massacres and the other massacres, the Palestinians continue the resistance struggle. At the same time, the international Boycott Israel campaign is growing at a rapid pace.

We remember the victims of the Sabra and Shatila massacre and the other massacres. The struggle for a free Palestine continues.

Kl. 19 – 20                          Fællesspisning – palæstinensisk mad – Introduktion til Sabra og Shatila massakrerne

Kl 20                                   Tur rundt på  Nørrebro – med Sabra og Shatila banner i spidsen og fakler. Vi uddeler flyers på gader, cafeer og restauranter og opfordrer til boykot af Israel så længe der er israelsk besættelse, kolonisering og apartheid.

 I september 1982 foretog libanesiske falangister i samarbejde med israelsk militær en grusom massakre på flygtningelejrene Sabra og Shatila i Beirut, Libanon. Over 1200 palæstinensere blev myrdet. Målet var at fordrive palæstinenserne og deres frihedskæmpere fra Libanon. Det var den israelske forsvarsminister Ariel Sharon der var arkitekten bag massakren. Han hed fremover Slagteren fra Sabra og Shatila.  Men på trods af Sabra og Shatila massakrerne og de andre massakrer fortsætter palæstinenserne modstandskampen. Samtidig vokser den internationale Boykot Israel-kampagne med hastige skridt.

Vi mindes ofrene for Sabra og Shatila massakren og de andre massakrer.  Kampen for et frit Palæstina fortsætter.
