Meeting with a talk, open discussion, and a screening of ‘Nowhere Left to Go’ short film

On 4 September the Labour Party adopted the full International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism, which labels any criticism of Israel as anti-Semitic.

This followed a concerted Zionist campaign accusing Jeremy Corbyn, and those sections of the party who support Palestinian freedom, of anti-Semitism. The aim of the Zionists is to criminalise support for Palestinian resistance against Israeli occupation.

The campaign has been backed by the most reactionary sections of the Labour Party and the liberal media, especially The Guardian. In response Corbyn has failed to offer any convincing defence of the Palestinian struggle or attack on the racist ideology of Zionism – instead capitulating by accepting the IHRA definition in full and rejecting the idea that Zionism is a racist ideology in an article in The Guardian in early August.

This is a huge blow to campaigners for Palestinian freedom as it isolates and paves the way for the criminalisation of anti-Zionists.

Join us on 22 November at the Catford Constitutional Club for a screening of ‘Nowhere Left to Go’, a short film about the Jahalin Bedouin, a nomadic people in the West Bank, whose village is being threatened with demolition by Israel.

We will also be discussing the Palestinian solidarity movement in Britain and how we defend the right to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and counter these recent attacks against the movement.
