Stop Annekteringen af Palæstina 2020, in collaboration with Internationalt Forum KBH, Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network and Folkets Hus, invites you for an evening of political debate on the current situation in Palestine and the Palestinian resistance movement followed by a lovely Palestinian community kitchen.
The event is supporting the international campaign Palestine Days of Resistance August 7-9 2020 with the aim of mobilizing for a growing resistance against the Israeli occupation and colonization of Palestine, in defense of the land and the people of Palestine. Palestine Days of Resistance is organized by Samidoun – follow Samidoun for more information.
Friday the 7th, first day of resistance, will contain both political debate and community kitchen.
From 5.30-6.30pm Mohammed Khatib, coordinator for Samidoun Europe and invited to Copenhagen as a part of Palestine Days of Resistance, will talk about the current situation in Palestine and the Palestinian resistance movement with reference to Israel’s illegal annexation plan targeting the already occupied West Bank. Mohammed will as well talk about the issues of political prisoners, refugees and the many attacks on the Palestinian solidarity movement and Palestinian voices in Europe, which are experienced to an increasing extend these years as radical right-wing groups and political parties are growing. Mohammed will start by giving a presentation and afterwards there’ll be time for Q&A and debate.
It’s not every day that Mohammed is visiting Copenhagen and we only have 50 seats for his part of the event. Thus we advise you to book a seat as soon as possible in order to attend. Write your name to this number +45 60227510 if you want to sign up.
From 7.00-8.30pm Internationalt Forum KBH will be serving their well-known Palestine Community Kitchen with a variety of Palestinian dishes for only 50 kr. The community kitchen is open for all and doesn’t require any pre-booking. As always all proceeds from Internationalt Forum KBH’s community kitchen will be given to the Palestinian organization Addameer, which fights for the rights and freedom for Palestinian political prisoners.
The presentation and debate by Mohammed and the community kitchen will be held in accordance with official covid 19 guidelines. We encourage everyone to keep a safe distance and good hygiene. The community kitchen will be served outside and people are encouraged to spread out sitting in Folkets Park while enjoying their food.
