TORONTO: PYM Toronto is hosting a youth-focused event on Sunday August 9, 2020 at 3PM in accordance with the Samidoun Day of Resistance Call to Action. The Samidoun call to action is an invitation for all Palestinian community organizaions, solidarity groups, and movements to host/endorse Days of Resistance to build onto the Day of Rage events that took place on the week of July 1.

This event will be held as a disruption at Yonge-Dundas Square as Palestinians and allies come together to hold space for an educational and art-centered event. We hope to build community with our Palestinian siblings through poetry, art displays, dabke, and sign making projects. We invite our allies to come out to support in educating the public on the current threats of annexation and the Palestinian struggle in general – we will provide the educational material!

This event is child friendly and we encourage families and friends to come out. All the necessary Covid-19 precautions will be taken as everyone is required to wear a mask and try to social distance as much as possible. We will also have hand sanitizer and extra masks for folks. Hope to see you all there in continuing resistance against Israeli occupation.
