New Yorkers protest to free Palestinian prisoners, against occupation attacks

On Thursday, June 25, New Yorkers and New Jerseyans protested outside the Israeli consulate in New York City, calling for freedom for Palestinian prisoners and denouncing the mass raids and arrests that have targeted over 560 Palestinians in the West Bank, the killings, bombings, home demolitions and invasions by occupation forces over the past two weeks.

Members of Al-Awda New York, American Muslims for Palestine, the US Palestinian Community Network and a number of activists from student and other solidarity organizations joined the protest. A second New York protest against the attacks is scheduled for June 26 at 6 pm in Union Square, called by Jewish Voice for Peace.
