STOP THE ANNEXATION – NO AGAINST ZIONISM – FREEDOM FOR PALESTINE

On July 1, 2020, Israel wants to annex the West Bank – that is why we call on everyone to protest with us that evening at 6:30 pm in front of the American consulate in Amsterdam. We protest against attempts to liquidate Palestine and the liberation movement and fight for the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea. At the same time, protests will take place all over the world, from Ramallah to New York and across Europe.

The plan to annex the West Bank comes from the throne of the new fascist Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz, and is fully supported by US President Donald Trump. Yet it is not a new plan, but a continuation of the Zionist colonization of Palestine that has persisted for over a hundred years.

Although the Dutch government is officially against the annexation, it will undoubtedly support Israel when confronted by the Palestinian resistance. We therefore call on the Dutch government to immediately impose sanctions against Israel and to stop supplying weapons to the colonial regime.

At the same time as the protests against annexation, millions of people stand up against anti-Black racism. We unconditionally support our Black comrades in the fight against colonialism, imperialism and racism, and demand justice for all martyrs, from George Floyd in the US to Ahmad Erakat in Palestine and Tomy Holten in the Netherlands. We fight the alliance of our oppressors in the US, Palestine and the Netherlands with international solidarity. Therefore, earlier today we will also attend the commemoration and celebration of the abolition of slavery.

We stand for the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea and the rebuilding of the Palestine liberation movement. The Palestinian Authority, which considers “security cooperation” with Israel to be more important than the defense of Palestine, has no role to play in that liberation movement. We fight for the realization of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people – the right to national self-determination and the Right to Return.

STOP DE ANNEXATIE – NEE TEGEN ZIONISME – VRIJHEID VOOR PALESTINA

Op 1 juli 2020 wil Israël de West Bank gaan annexeren – daarom roepen wij iedereen op om die avond om 18:30u samen met ons te protesteren op voor het Amerikaanse consulaat in Amsterdam. We protesteren tegen de pogingen om Palestina en de bevrijdingsbeweging te liquideren en strijden voor de bevrijding van Palestina van de rivier tot aan de zee. Tegelijkertijd zullen over de hele wereld protesten plaatsvinden, van Ramallah tot New York en door heel Europa.

Het plan om de West Bank te annexeren komt uit de koker van de nieuwe fascistische Israëlische regering van Benjamin Netanyahu en Benny Gantz, en wordt volledig gesteund door de Amerikaanse president Donald Trump. Toch is het geen nieuw plan, maar een voortzetting van de ruim honderd jaar durende zionistische kolonisatie van Palestina.

Hoewel de Nederlandse regering officieel tegen de annexatie is, zal zij ongetwijfeld Israël steunen wanneer ze geconfronteerd worden door het Palestijnse verzet. We roepen daarom de Nederlandse regering op om onmiddellijk sancties tegen Israël in te stellen en geen wapens meer te leveren aan het koloniale regime.

Tegelijkertijd met de protesten tegen annexatie staan miljoenen mensen op tegen anti-zwart racisme. Wij staan onvoorwaardelijk achter onze zwarte kameraden in de strijd tegen kolonialisme, imperialisme en racisme, en eisen gerechtigheid voor alle martelaren, van George Floyd in de VS tot Ahmad Erakat in Palestina en Tomy Holten in Nederland. De verbondenheid van onze onderdrukkers in de VS, Palestina en Nederland bestrijden wij met internationale solidariteit. Eerder op de dag zullen we daarom ook aanwezig zijn bij de herdenking en viering van de afschaffing van de slavernij.

Wij staan voor de bevrijding van Palestina van de rivier tot aan de zee en het heropbouwen van de Palestijnse bevrijdingsbeweging. In die bevrijdingsbeweging is geen rol weggelegd voor de Palestijnse Autoriteit, die de “veiligheidssamenwerking” met Israël belangrijker vindt dan de verdediging van Palestina. Wij strijden voor de verwezenlijking van de onvervreemdbare rechten van het Palestijnse volk – het recht op nationale zelfbeschikking en het Recht op Terugkeer.
