In January 2020, the Israeli state announced it would annex 30% of the land inside the occupied West Bank including the Jordan Valley beginning July 1st this year. Netanyahu’s annexation plan is in line with the Trump administration’s “deal of the century”. Israel’s annexation plan is also the culmination of its existing policy to gradually displace, and forcibly remove Indigenous Palestinians from their land, through illegal settlements, checkpoints, and the apartheid wall.

This protest stands in solidarity with the ongoing Palestinian struggle against colonial expansion by the Israeli state and in opposition to the Canada Israel Free Trade Agreement (CIFTA). CIFTA is an example of the Canadian state’s political and economic complicity. This protest is in response to the call made by Palestinian civil society organizations to demand international sanctions against Israeli apartheid and annexation. Join us on August 9th!

Cette manifestation est en solidarité avec la lutte palestinienne en cours contre l’expansion coloniale de l’État israélien et en opposition à l’Accord de libre-échange Canada-Israël (CIFTA). L’ALÉCI est un exemple de la complicité politique et économique de l’État canadien.
