Auckland: Remember the Nakba

Nakba Day is the annual day of commemoration of the Nakba, also known as the Palestinian Catastrophe, which comprised the destruction of Palestinian society and homeland in 1948, and the permanent displacement of a majority of the Palestinian people.

In addition, Israel has been attacking Palestinian Worshippers in Jerusalem and at Al-Quds as well as moving to Ethnic Cleanse Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah.

PSN Tamaki Makaurau – Auckland, along with other Palestine supporters throughout New Zealand, will be holding a rally this month on Nakba day.
Date:          May 15 – This Saturday
Location:    Outside the Britomart Train Station
Time:          Meet at 1:45 pm for a 2:00 pm start

The intention is to fly the Palestinian flag and remind people of the Israeli Land Theft, Ethnic Cleansing and Apartheid  that started in 1948. An the Vicious ongoing abuses of the Palestininan people which is happening today in Jerusalem and Sheikh Jarrah.

We will be meeting at Britomart at 2:00 pm (making it easy for people coming on Bus, Train and Boat) and then taking a walk along Quay street through to the Viaduct Basin bridge.
