Palestine, all of Palestine, from the river to the sea! It is the right of all Palestinians to live throughout the land of Palestine. We condemn the “deal of the century” and demand all of our confiscated rights. The Jafra Foundation, Samidoun, left organizations and the Greek students’ union encourage all to join the demonstration outside the US embassy in Athens!

On the program: exhibition on the boycott of Israel; solidarity photos; Palestinian music; speaking; sale of T-shirts, flags, calendars, tote bags; press table on the situation in Palestine but also the boycott of Israel, support for Palestinian prisoners and Georges Abdallah etc.
From January 15 to January 29, 2020 – International action days for release of Ahmad Sa’adat and all Palestinian prisoners
In these days, international actions are taking place from January 15 to January 29, 2020, supporting the release of Ahmad Sa’adat and all Palestinian prisoners detained in Zionist jails, organized by the “Campaign to Free Ahmad Sa’adat”, Samidoun (Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network) as well as other organizations. Ahmad Sa’adat, General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) was arrested on January 15, 2002 by thugs of Palestinian National Authority (ANP) representing Palestinian bourgeoisie interests and was imprisoned under the guard of US and British authorities. Afterwards, in 2006 the Zionist occupation forces abducted him and brought him into the Zionist jail to convict him on December 25, 2008, sentencing him to 30 years detention. For the Palestinian movement, Ahmad Sa’adat is symbol of struggle against zionism and imperialism. For the same cause, there are actually detained more than 5,000 Palestinian prisoners who remain engaged in their struggle and face daily repression. Georges Abdallah, the anti-imperialist Lebanese militant for the Palestinian cause, has also been imprisoned in France since October 1984.
Palestinian people have never ceased over the years to support Ahmad Sa’adat, Georges Abdallah and all prisoners as part of the struggling movement against Zionist occupation.
Within the actions called from January 15 to January 29, 2020, demonstrations and events are occurring in many towns in the world, among those Paris, Brussels, Vienna, Toulouse, Bern, Goteborg, Wicklow (Ireland) Ann Arbor (USA) and Vancouver. Particularly, in Lebanon during the protest movement that is still underway, Georges Abdallah, a participant in armed actions against high officers of CIA and Mossad in 1982, is considered by demonstrators to be among the symbols of the people rising up in Lebanon for months.
An international action day against war at Iran is proclaimed for January 25, 2020 under the slogan “USA GET OUT OF THE MIDDLE EAST” through demonstrations expected in many cities and towns all over the world.
Nowadays also in Italy, there remain numerous revolutionary prisoners resisting in the jails, some for more than 30 years, confronting the very harsh conditions of detention and confinement to which they are subjected. They are also a part of the revolutionary movement, and thus they should be supported both by developing an action against the regimes of 41 bis and “High Security” and by enhancing their political identity and their revolutionary role.
A part of the movement in Italy is involved in advancing the struggle of the Palestinian people and their prisoners. Among the various actions, particularly during the 25 April demonstrations marking liberation from Nazism and fascism, for many years, the participation of the “Jewish Brigade” has been challenged, because it represents a Zionist force carrying symbols of oppression rather than an antifascist force. Following the 2018 protest, the judiciary investigated 5 comrades charging them with incitement to racial hatred and other charges. The first hearing in their trial is set for 10 March 2020.
To this end, we join in the call that has been launched against this repressive attack, inviting all to attend outside and inside the courthouse on the occasion of the trial hearing as well as to participate the protest against the presence of supporters of Israeli apartheid and occupation on 25 April 2020..
OUR SOLIDARITY TO PALESTINIAN PRISONERS AND REVOLUTIONARY PRISONERS ALL OVER THE WORLD!
AGAINST ZIONISM AND IMPERIALISM!
FIGHT BACK THE REPRESSIVE ATTACK AGAINST THE SOLIDARITY MOVEMENT TO PALESTINIAN PEOPLE STRUGGLE!

Palestinian communities and supporters of Palestine inside occupied Palestine, in the refugee camps and everywhere around the world have mobilized a series of events, actions and demonstrations to express their outrage at the latest colonial insult proffered by U.S. imperialism, the Zionist state and complicit reactionary regimes, the Trump-Netanyahu “deal of the century.”
A list of actions is below, organized by a wide range of community groups and solidarity movements. This list focuses mostly on events outside Palestine and the camps – there are countless mobilizations taking place there. We know this list is incomplete and growing! will add your action and demonstration to the list if you send us the time, date and location. Send us a message on Facebook or email us at samidoun@samidoun.net to add your mobilization to the growing international rising that makes clear that the people of the world stand with the Palestinian people and will never accept apartheid, land theft and colonization.
EXIST. RESIST. RETURN.
PALESTINE IS NOT FOR SALE!!
The Trump Administration has just unveiled the details of its “Deal Of The Century”. This plan includes, but is not limited to:
-Giving legitimacy to illegal Israeli settlements in Palestine
-Annexing parts of the West Bank (including the Jordan Valley)
-Granting Palestinians a “state” made up of non-contiguous cantons similar to the Bantustans under apartheid in South Africa.
-Liquidating the Palestinian right of return.
These are just some of the aspects from this plan that has already been rejected by the Palestinian people and its leadership at large.
The road to Palestinian freedom lays first and foremost in addressing Israel’s regime of settler-colonialism, occupation and apartheid, in Israel dismantling its illegal settlements as well as recognition of the right for return.
Only consistent pressure on Israel, including through support for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, can bring about lasting and meaningful change for both Israelis and Palestinians.

On Tuesday, 28 January, supporters of justice in Palestine gathered in Vancouver at the Centre for Socialist Education for an educational discussion on the case of Ahmad Sa’adat and the political situation in Palestine today. The event, organized by Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS) Canada and the Canada Palestine Association, included presentations by Samidoun international coordinator Charlotte Kates, Hanna Kawas of CPA and Khaled Barakat, the international coordinator of the Campaign to Free Ahmad Sa’adat.
The event was organized as part of the two weeks of action to free Ahmad Sa’adat, the imprisoned General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and all Palestinian prisoners. It marked the 18th anniversary of Sa’adat’s imprisonment by the Palestinian Authority; since the Israeli attack on the PA’s Jericho prison in 2006 (where Sa’adat had been held under U.S. and British guard), Sa’adat has been imprisoned by the Israeli regime. Events were organized between 15 and 29 January in Toulouse, Paris, Manchester, Vancouver, New York, Brussels, Tunis, Ireland, Gothenburg, Amsterdam, Charleroi and Bern, among others, as part of the call to action.
The Vancouver meeting also took place hours after U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced their racist, colonialist “deal of the century.” In her remarks, Kates noted that Sa’adat’s case is incredibly relevant in this context, given the role of U.S. imperialism in shoring up Israeli apartheid in Palestine. She framed the imprisonment of Sa’adat as a reflection of the same forces – imperialism, Zionism and Arab reaction – involved in the attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause through Trump’s “deal.”
Kawas focused his remarks mainly on the destructive role of the Palestinian Authority and the Oslo process, noting that Trump’s latest attack on Palestinian rights continued down the same path of the fruitless and destructive “peace process,” rather than reflecting a break with U.S. policy. He noted that the colonial settlements in the occupied West Bank at least tripled during the Oslo period, the same illegal settlements that the “deal of the century” seeks to legitimize.
In his comments, Barakat discussed the situation of Palestinian political prisoners, focusing not only on their suffering but on their leadership in the Palestinian movement, noting that they are involved in daily confrontations with the occupier. He spoke about Sa’adat’s leadership within the Palestinian movement, noting that his experience was strengthened through years of struggle and revolutionary education inside the prisons.
He also discussed the broader regional importance of the Palestinian struggle, emphasizing the contradiction between the Arab peoples and their future and the ongoing dominance of Zionism and imperialism. In a wide-ranging question-and-answer session, participants discussed BDS activities, the importance of organizing for the boycott of Israel, torture of Palestinian political prisoners and the necessity of joint struggle to confront imperialism, among other issues.

On Sunday, 2 February, actions for Palestine in Vancouver will continue with a demonstration against the so-called “deal of the century,” which will take place at 2:30 pm at the Vancouver Art Gallery. All are invited to attend and participate.
